Belgium and most of Europe are suffering from the heatwave. The death toll is rising, and hospitals are overcrowded. Most countries didn't really need air conditioning, but if things go on like this, even we—who usually complain about the cold and rain—will have to consider it.
On Saturday, at least, we were able to sit out on the terrace and play a fun game. Kim showed us a picture of a blender, and we had to guess the price! Whoever guessed the correct (or nearly correct) price won. One football fan was still wearing his hat—Belgium vs. Spain.
Dear Ingrid, I love all your photos! The awww Monday pictures with the donkey, swans and cat are adorable! And you look wonderful with your tiger shirt, dear friend! Rosie is comfortable on her bed!
ReplyDeleteYes, we are experiencing the heatwave here in Montreal, Canada as well! Hospital ERs are overcrowded at up to 200% over capacity. It's just terrible!
It is affecting humans, pets and wildlife. And we also have the wildfires in Quebec that destroy trees and the birds and animals that live there. Sometimes homes have to be evacuated for safety reasons.
