HODGEPODGE JULY 15

1. "Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability." (Sam Keen) Do you feel less guilty relaxing in July than you do in January? Elaborate. 

When I feel the need to relax, I don't care whether it's summer or winter, I usually sit on my sofa and read, watch TV, or do absolutely nothing. Then, the urge to do nothing quickly passes in July and also in January.

2. What's a telltale sign you're upset?  

I think that shows in my face, and especially in my eyes.

 

3. July 16th is National AI Day. What are your general thoughts and/or experiences with AI? Have you purposely used it? Does it excite you, scare you, or worry you? What do you see as a benefit? How about something relating to AI you see as a negative? 

So far I love it ! I play with it mostly with pictures for the moment, but little by little I find out other uses too, for example I wanted to know (for fun) from where our coffee cups were coming. I took a AI picture and it told me that the cup was from IKEA, contained black coffee ! I tried the same with my table neighbor's wheelchair and got all information. Amazing. Now it would be dangerous if you could do that  with people and the AI tells you where they were "made", their love life and other secrets ! No spies needed anymore !  I amuse myself by making old photos look new, or by trying on different outfits. In all my previous posts... you can see examples. What I love the most is our trip to the States in 1971, all old pictures look like new :

4. You're invited to a summer pot luck and are asked to bring an appetizer, salad/side, or dessert. Which category do you go for and what are you bringing? 

Apparently I am especially good in making Italian salads, that's what I am always asked for 

 

5. It wouldn't be summer without ....... suffering from the heat !

My son sent me pictures from the Elba Island where Napoleon is born and where is mother lived. I travel with them per photo ! They also have hot weather and what worries me is that their A/C in the new car broke down and they have to travel like this, because it is an electric car, and apparently he can't find a garage who could repair it ! Must be tiring !
