WEEKEND 21/03/2026
On Saturday the sun was shining and it was quite warm for March, 15°C ! After working on my computer, and had eaten lunch, I went outside in the sunshine and walked nearly around the whole park, which was quite a target ! I felt nearly normal, then I sat on a bench in the sunshine and scrabbled for an hour. It was time then to join the others for the activity which was finding words. Very interesting.
We even had little cakes with whipped creme and a fruit on the top. My friend Jeanine was not with us, she visited her sister who is in a hospital on the other end of Brussels, unfortunately her sister didn't even recognize her, she had fallen, broken a leg and lost her mind. Of course Jeanine was very sad, because it was probably the last time she saw her sister alive.
On Sunday it was the same, as soon as I had finished a went outside after lunch and sun hungry I sat on another bench after having done my walk. Not so good this time, I got quicker breathless. I did my scrabble and then joined the daughter of a resident and we chatted together so that we almost missed our Quizz ! Then it was time for supper, TV and bed ! Days are flying by !
Here are a few pictures of my daily walk.
I always take a photo of something which has to be replaced or repaired or cut ! Photos show more then words our female manager never makes a tour around the park, and the gardeners seem to be blind sometimes.Behind the mini golf sits one of the 6 castle cats, I wanted to crop the picture but Picasa doesn't work anymore on my computer. Does somebody know a company who does cropping free online ?
Dear Ingrid, your photos are beautiful. I am glad 😊 you took a walk in nature and enjoyed the sunshine 🌞 ☀️
ReplyDeleteThe little cakes with whipped cream and fruit 😋 sound delicious.
The park always looks so calm and peaceful.
ReplyDeleteI use a program called Irfan View. I am sure it can do lots of clever things but I only use to view pictures and for cropping.
If you have Microsoft Paint installed, you can use that for cropping too.
That poor garden bench seat really needs repair and paint. I use Microsoft paint for cropping, it comes pre-installed on every computer I have had. I don't know about Apple Macs though, I have never had one of those.
ReplyDeleteThings are improving for you, Ingrid, and that is so good to hear. You live in a beautiful place and it's so nice to be able to appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteI love all your Awww's. So precious.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a great weekend. Spring is such a wonderful season.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to beautiful Rosie. ♥
My MACs all come with basic photo cropping software, as do the iPhones. It may be that your own phone can do it for you? I always now copy any image i am playing with, and then crop on the copy rathet than the original. Maybe that is the way forwards?
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad seat. Can not the gardeners do something? A replacement does seem in order.
I love your cat photo, and the image of what I think you once advised was the cats' own little house.
Glad to hear you are improving. Small steps I guess......
Erin
I'm glad you have the beautiful and sunny weather which you love so much.
ReplyDeleteYes, if you took those pictures witha p[hone camera, then when you look at your pictures individually, there should be n icon/button that says 'edit', and then the image goes to a basic photo editor, and you should be able to crop your images right there. Even on your computer., if you open your photo library, and pick a photo to work on, look again for the edit button and proceed from there, when you are done, it will come back to the library the way you edited it. Or like Erin said, make a copy and work on that.
