WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Autumn is slowly approaching, and while out for a walk, I saw these strange mushrooms. I used to look for mushrooms with my grandfather, and in the evenings, my grandmother would prepare them. They tasted absolutely delicious.

Unfortunately, I've never seen again the mushrooms my grandfather found. I would not just look at them myself I don't know much about mushrooms, so I'd rather buy them. The last picture has nothing to do with mushrooms, but at least there are autumn leaves around it.

  3. Lovely mushroom photos. Did you hear on the Belgian news about our Australian saga with the mushroom lady. She fed her inlaws deadly mushrooms in a beef wellington lunch. 3 out of 4 of the visitors died. The fourth had a liver transplant and survived. The woman got life imprisonment. It hit the headlines around the world.

    1. What a vicious woman ! No I haven't heard about this, but I must say it happens quite often here during the mushroom season. It's not the first case I heard. Even when I was a child.

  4. Mushrooms are so interesting, so many different shapes and colours.
I have some sympathy with the poster - I think many of us have!

  6. Our leaves are slowly changing colors. I love the leaves, but to me, they signal winter is coming. I like the sign. :)

  7. That sign is so true. I love the art, nature, that you capture. All too quickly these sights vanish, and another season moves in.
