1. Fall officially rolls into the Northern Hemisphere on Monday (9/22)...what's your favorite thing about fall ?
Nothing, I hate fall, makes me depressive
2. What's one thing on your real or proverbial autumn bucket list?
Hanging around without energy it's cold, grey, dark. There is no autumn bucket list, I never make bucket lists.
3. Apples, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, butternut squash and cranberries are some of the top fall foods. Which one is your favorite and how do you like it prepared? Any on the list you don't eat? Which one have you had most recently?
Besides apples which I eat the whole year, there is nothing I like about fall foods.
4. 'Fall is proof that change is beautiful' is a popular sentiment. Would you agree or no? Elaborate.
I prefer to say that spring is proof that change is beautiful. Fall for me can be erased in the seasons.
5. Is there a spot near you where people go to see the leaves change color? Will you try to leaf peep somewhere this fall? Lonely Planet lists the following ten places as the best for leaf peeping...of those listed which would you most like to visit?
I can see the striptease of all trees from my window ! There are mountains of dead brown leaves and a special tractor has to come to collect them ! This alone is depressive ! It takes the last traces from the summer away.

Dear Ingrid, I don't make bucket lists, either. I am sorry to hear that the Fall makes you feel depressed.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful smile in your last photo. 😊 I love ❤️ the shirt with the colours and the cat 🐈
I suspect you don't like fall lol. But surely winter is even worse.
ReplyDeleteYour fall clothing is very colourful. We don't get the number of changing trees that you do, except in the hills areas, so I enjoy seeing the oranges/red/yellows and I like the sweet-tea smell of fallen leaves from a certain street tree, although that only lasts about a week or so. I like the cooler nights so I can sleep more comfortably. Of course down here we are in spring which is beautiful, but no fun for those of us with hayfever and other allergies.
ReplyDeleteSurround yourself with colour and light and warmth and the darkness of the season may fade a little.
ReplyDeleteI try what helps me is the laughter we have in the afternoons with our activities. In fall I don't see collors and even 20° are cold. It's a disease seasonal depressions. My father had it too, and unfortunately my son also, but not so heavy as I have it.
DeleteI prefer spring to autumn but there's a certain pleasure (for me) in cocooning in warm clothes, warm drinks and cosy nights in. I know it really depresses some people with S.A.D - seasonal affective disorder. Maybe you should get hold of one of the special lights that help treat it.
ReplyDeleteI have allergies in the springtime so enjoy fall more. I love the gem tones of fall too and the soups and stews that seem to go with the season. I hope you have a nice fall and get some sunshine every day. It definitely helps!
