"Centuries" ago Waterloo was a village with a lot of farmers around and of course a lot of animals too. 50 years later Waterloo has become a city, with more cars then cows, new apartment buildings, houses, shopping malls and a disappeared village. Old houses had been demolished, farmland sold for Golf courses, more houses and with that a lot of cars. As the average family has at least 2 to 5 cars, Waterloo is rather congested. Fortunately most of our time we have lived in the Village and behind our house we had as neighbors cows. One even came into our living room, when we didn't have a fence or hedge ! That was land life.

A cow in the house would be quite something. We had a pony in the house once.
ReplyDeleteWe have the problems with disappearing farmland here in Florida too. Every time you drive somewhere you see more housing developments! We had a turkey at the front door this week! lol Love your photos!
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing and beautiful animals ❤️ Thank you 😊 so much for sharing your lovely photos, dear Ingrid.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI love all the farm animals. The donkey is a favorite, they are all cute critters. Great photos.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your critters! Take care, have a great weekend.
The donkey is my favorite! Enjoyed seeing the saddled horses. So different from our western saddles.
ReplyDeleteLove the critters, the brown goat at the fence is my favourite. It's a shame when good land goes to golf courses instead of food production, I think they should find land that isn't productive and build their golf courses there.
ReplyDeleteThey are great animal photos.
