HODGEPODGE

 1. The midpoint of summer (believe it or not) is August 7th. Describe a perfect summer day. Have you had one this year?

We had a few in June ! Where the temperatures were even too hot,

the whole July was .... lousy. To perfection I have nothing to say, I didn't move and stayed in our beautiful park.

2. What's one thing you wish you knew before starting high school?

Nothing special, except that I hoped I would have fun. School was never an issue for me. It was just a part of life.

3. What's something that bothers you if it's not done perfectly?

A dirty toilet ! It must be more clean then clean !

4. What's the most overrated food you're convinced people are just pretending to enjoy? What's a trendy food you actually do enjoy and would say is definitely not overrated?

Caviar, frog legs and foie gras which tastes like liver sausage

I love eating a good Italian pasta dish!

5. Wrapping it up this week with five fun this or thats...

personal stylist or personal chef?
personal stylist, although I won't need one.

dance like nobody's watching or sing like nobody's listening?

I love to dance so I would dance like nobody's watches me (due to age), when I was young nobodies didn't disturb me !

unlimited tacos or free pizza?

Difficult to say, I love both, maybe I would prefer free pizza

bookshelf organization-by size or by genre?

Certainly not by size, and not by genre either, I would sort them by author

ten minutes late or ten minutes early?

Unlike most women, I'm always early and prefer to wait in my car. I find it rude to make someone wait, especially on the street.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

We have two new ones, ladies of course, as everywhere there are more widows then widowers. Maybe it is because a woman usually manage better on their own than men.

Both seem very nice and fit in well with our group. Because the fourth floor is being renovated, we suddenly see the severely disabled people who can neither speak, eat, nor really do anything anymore. They're in wheelchairs, and some look terrible. We'd never seen them before, and some people are scared of these poor people, or what's left of them. Me too, if I'm honest.

Now I've been asked to say at the next meeting that we don't want to see these people anymore. Our terrace is huge, so it's easy to separate the normal people from the mentally disabled, as it is usually the case.

I can understand that the staff is so used to see both, that they don't understand that there is a difference and some people are just afraid of  things they are not used to see.

Now I am thinking how to explain that without hurting anyone.
