WEEKEND 

 

Miracles happen !  After a July that felt more like October, summer has finally arrived, and suddenly you see a lot more people in the park.  After Lunch I couldn't stand being in my room any longer  and wanted to enjoy a bit of sunshine. I took my tablet and went down. 

The first door was locked, usually it's open because there is room to leave bicycles. I returned and crossed the restaurant which has a large door which opens automatically. But not this time, I stood there and waved to get the door open, nothing to do it remained closed. Somebody told me that the door was out of work ! I tried to find somebody who could tell me where it was possible to get out. Finally a nurse told me to go through the kitchen. That was nice, usually nobody is allowed to go into the kitchen. I took the opportunity and looked around found everything nice and clean and opened the door to the park. Instead of seeing green grass and trees, I found myself with buckets, brooms, and all sorts of cleaning supplies in a storage room. As always, my sense of direction failed me. 

But then I finally made it and was in the park. Instead of reading, I met Solange, who walks two rounds around the park every day and she is 96 ! 

It was getting warmer and warmer, and finally we sat down in the shade on the terrace. Nobody was there, because they  couldn't get out and instead to ask, they sat there and waited for a miracle. Finally somebody told them that the door is broken and will be repaired on Monday. I thought of the poor cook who would see a long line marching through his sterilized kitchen. Luckily, Kim came and stood in front of the door, which opened immediately. He meanwhile had repaired it but nobody knew and nobody  thought to try if it had repaired itself. I was already outside, with a few others and we laughed seeing them locked in and then finally they all came out. We played a nice game where we had to find words, and we had a lot of fun ! 

It cooled down in the evening and we returned inside. 

On Sunday was the same weather and in the afternoon we were quite a lot of people because there were many visitors. They played with us you had to answer questions of general knowledge, and I would lie, if I would say that I was not a bit proud, that I nearly knew all the answers. Then we had our coffee and cake and the two dogs which were there turned around the table hoping for a piece of cake.  

Since I have my new phone, I forget to take photos ! I just tried out the selfie function, but you could do so many things, that finally I stopped at this result, in the other selfies I looked like Frankenstein's daughter, here only a bit !
