City hall

This wall is called Peace Wall and is painted with graffiti concerning the ethno-nationalist conflict between predominantly Catholic and Protestant communities in Ireland, historically known as The Troubles, lasted for approximately 30 years. Of course we went along the wall and read the messages and looked at the pictures. The whole story was very sad, so many death in the name of God !

Hello dear Ingrid, the mural is amazing, lots of artwork! So much racism and hatred is still present in many parts of the world. Very sad indeed.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing well, dear friend.
Coincidently, there is trouble over racial matters in Belfast today as I type. I thought Belfast felt creepy, with so much hatred and division.
ReplyDeleteThose are some very nice murals, I wouldn't call them Graffiti. Far too many killings and other atrocities are done in the name of God.
ReplyDeleteMuito lindo esse muro! Belas fotos! beijos, chica
