WEEKEND 

On Saturday we were alone, I mean without our entertainers. I don't know who had made the planning, but he or she is not very talented. On Friday they were 3 and on Saturday none ! I mean with three people you can organize that at least one is there on Saturday and Sunday, especially since Kim was hired for weekends. I'll mention that at our next meeting with the director. The poor woman probably doesn't even know. Anyway, she's very nice and has a lot of work, since her predecessors weren't very efficient.

The weather continued to be very sunny so we put a few tables together and played Bingo. Everybody loves it. Without money of course. 

On Sunday my friend Jacky picked me up and I left my castle for the whole afternoon. We went to the lake Genval which is not so far from Waterloo. It's the only lake nearby where you can surf or sail and of course there is a little space for swimmers. as the weather was so nice there were a lot of people !

The restaurant was packed and we were really lucky to find two chairs. Jacky had a Mango tea.

The  restaurant was right by the lake. The water looked as green as the grass, even though the sky was completely blue. I had been here many times before, even when my son was still feeding the ducklings. Still, it was nice to get out again, although I couldn't walk as well as on Monday. The air must have been bad.

                                      This is the castle of Genval, which is now a hotel with a spa.

We noticed that a lot of restaurants around the lake had changed names and probably owners and some were closed and looked neglected. Still the aftermath of the COVID. 

We walked a bit along the lake and then returned home, but promised each other to make more little excursions. 

In our restaurant there was only the meanwhile 101 old Jeannie and another, all the others were dispersed in the park on different benches.
