HODGEPODGE FEBRUARY 5

 

1. The Winter Olympics kick off on Friday, February 6th...on a scale of 1-10 how excited are you? (1= eh and 10=watching every event all day every day). What's your favorite Winter Olympic sporting event?

I am excited like a (zero) !! And my favorite winter activity is :

 

2. In other sporting news, the Superbowl (American football's championship game) will be played on Sunday, February 8th. So tell us...what's your superpower ! 

 

I would get crazy in such a crowd of hysterical people! 

I don't like ball games at all, in the past I liked tennis. And that is the maximum size of a ball I am ready to use and of course also ping pong ! 

3. Are you a romantic? 

 

Unfortunately too much sometimes ! 

4. Blue cheese-yay or nay? How about feta? If you said yes to one or both, what's a dish you like that calls for one of these? 

 

 Feta salad

I love all blue cheese, I put cubes of feta in salads.  

5. What's more important-doing what you love or loving what you do? 

I would say both are important. I like to do what I love, and I love what I do (otherwise I wouldn't do it)

Today we had almost spring-like weather, 10°C! Now that I'm considered as an antique, I realize that when I was a child I went sledding in winter, played with maybugs and picked flowers for my mother in spring, went swimming in summer, looked for mushrooms in autumn, and it sometimes snowed at Christmas. Winter and summer clothes hung separately in the closet.

Now I'm riding on a weather rollercoaster the whole year long. Winter, summer, spring and autumn clothes are all hanging together in harmony. 

I haven't worn my thick winter coat once in two years. Now, here in my castle, I wear pretty much the same clothes all year round. Sweaters a little thinner or thicker, and trousers are also the same. I can even walk around in summer sneakers, except on the grass because it's always wet, and the air is always wet too. When I read that in some parts of the world it can get as cold as -70°C and +60°C, I'm glad I don't have such extreme temperatures here !

Fortunately I don't have to worry about the heating, it's all included in my monthly invoice.
