HODGEPODGE JULY 10

1. What's an adult problem nobody prepared you for.

Either I never had any problems, or I was informed about everything that could happen to me. I can't remember anything.

2. How tuned in are you to all the recent food related health news? Have you gotten rid of your scratched cookware? Did you pay attention to food additives before they made the news? What's one healthy eating/cooking/food shopping habit you need to adopt?

Since I started cooking, I never paid attention to anything. I ate what I wanted and I think it was healthy, because I don't like greasy or too creamy things, I love salads and fruits and I am not a cake or sweet fan. I never pay attention to the expiring date either or the organic stuff, that's only money making. It becomes difficult to buy non organic food !

3. What's getting worse and worse as you get older? How about better and better?

So far although I am 82 today nothing gets worse except some wrinkles more. Better is, that I became more patient and also worry far less.

4. Are you more of an indoor person or an outdoor person? Elaborate.

It depends on the weather, I love to be outside and travel, but when it's cold and wet I prefer to stay inside and read

5. If you had an expert personal assistant today, what would you have them do?

At my age, I don't need one anymore. Other than my monthly rent, I don't have to take care of anything special.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

My head is empty, I sneeze, my nose is red, I caught a cold and feel lousy  ! My only random thought is when I am feeling normal again !

  2. I hope you're feeling a bit better today, Ingrid. Having a cold is horrible, but it seems all wrong in the summer.

  3. I think as long as you are sensible about what you are eating all is good. I pay little attention to the best before dates too, if it smells and looks OK, it's OK to eat.
Oh no! I hope you are feeling better soon.

  4. Summer colds are no fun at all. They feel especially unfair. I don't worry too much about expiry dates on most things either. Hope you're feeling better very soon!

  7. A summer flu is just as unpleasant as a cold in winter. I usually like to recommend a chicken broth. I wonder if that helps in summer?

Otherwise I read interesting questions here... and answers.

    Kind regards from Heidrun

  8. I hope you are feeling better now. When younger I always ate whatever I wanted but used up all the calories and energy raising four children and working in factories. I only put on weight while working in a supermarket at the checkout where I mostly stood still. After I retired I really packed on the pounds! I'm losing it now, being more sensible with smaller amounts on my plate.
