This week wasn't very good for me ! On Monday I woke up with a cold, my throat hurt, my nose ran, and I felt really lousy.
On Wednesday I felt a bit better and put my computer at the wide open window and watched the residents playing Mini Golf for the first time. It had been nicely renovated and everybody seemed keen to play ! Wheelchair or not. And I watched them from my window.
I couldn't participate I felt too weak. I slept not very good and on purpose, there was a full moon shining I had never seen such a big one. Unfortunately the photos weren't good.
Each morning when I look at the sky I see the same bird sitting on the electric wire and look around.
On Thursday it was so nice outside that I decided to join the others, just to watch them Diskus throwing !
They all did their best and the disks
The next day I picked up my new phone, but afterward I was so weak that I put it in a corner. I'll configure it tomorrow. I sat down with the others and watched them play Boccia. A 96 old lady won and was very proud.
Dear Ingrid, your photos are lovely. Thank you so much for sharing your story ❤️
ReplyDeleteIt's a good place to live, with plenty of help on hand, should you need it. I hope you are feeling stronger now.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you have such a nice place to live, but what about the poor people in Belgium? Are they looked after in their old age?
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you have not been feeling well. I hope you feel better soon. That's funny about the same crow in the same spot every morning. I'm glad you have such a good place to live.
ReplyDeleteEverybody gets a pension, you pay for it your whole working life and the amount is directly deducted from your monthly salary. Of course mostly it's not enough, but then Social Security takes care and there are retirement homes also for those who have not enough money. My pension wouldn't be enough either, but we sold the house and that pays the difference.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you start to feel better very soon. Hot weather and illness is not a comfortable mix. How wonderful folks have got to enjoy the golf again. I swear these summer recreations are a must for getting fresh air and livening the soul. Not so much fun when you gave to work in it, but there is always a cool evening to enjoy. I do hope you new phone gives you much pleasure, I know you take very good pictures with it so look forward to more adventures recorded on your travels.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you and Rosie

ReplyDeleteI hope you get your new phone sorted out. It's not an easy thing.
Have a good week and I hope you feel well soon.
It looks like a really nice place to live with the manager always having an ear to listen and activities for everyone to join or not as they choose. I hope by now you are fully recovered.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you got sick a few days ago! That really spoiled your week, and your Birthday, too. Nevertheless: Happy Belated Birthday greetings to YOU!
ReplyDeleteNice that you got to be out in the nice weather. Here i's is pretty nice as far as the sunshine goes, but it is quite hot and humid, which we call muggy. kind of feels like a sauna when the temp is over 30,and the humidity is about 80%, UGH!
Best wishes learning your new phone, then you'll be able to enjoy it, I hope!
You are living in a very wonderful place, that is for sure, and I'm so glad you decided it was perfect for you!
