WEEKEND
Saturday it was real cold, humid, foggy and windy. My son and family wanted to come and visit me, but when I saw the weather forecast, I told him not to come, as the roads were slippery and too dangerous to drive. We can see each other on the telephone screen too.
We spent the afternoon with playing UNO, apparently it's one of our favorite games.
On Sunday when I opened my eyes I saw the roof of the house just in front where we keep tools and furniture, white ! it had snowed. Unfortunately it didn't last long and in the afternoon the grass was green again.
A priest used to live there, and later it was a daycare for disabled men; their wives brought them there and then went to work. Now 3 of our cats sleep in there when it is cold or it rains.
We were in the warmth around two big tables and played Bingo. We laughed a lot and forgot that it was awful outside. Our Bingo is cute, it's a little thing with little balls, but it works very well we were 19 ! I won twice. We play with buttons !

ReplyDeleteI love the cute little bingo cage and those Christmas Gnomes are so delightful. Can't find those where I live, all here is cheap made-in-China with all the same faces no variety except different colours.

Dear Ingrid, I love ❤️ your figurines. I think you did the right thing telling your son not to come, as when it is slippery, walking and driving can be hazardous.

No one should risk their lives when the roads are bad...We have to drive about 42 km to go to our church, but we often have to stay home when there is wintry weather. We can see it on U-Tube!

It's good you are in a nice warm and cozy place with no worries, and lots of things to do with the friends you have made there.
